Culture
- Castles: Strong witnesses of Burgundy's rich history are the castles, built by the dukes as a symbol of their wealth: Le Château de Bazoches was once a residence of Vauban the great architect of the fortified cities under Louis XIV (www.château-Bazoches.com). Le château de Ancy-le-Franc, The Abbey of Fontenay (www.abbayedefontenay.com) is world heritage.
- Cultural-historical: The fortified Gallo-Roman town at the Mont Beuvray (45 km) is certainly worth visiting. From here, Caesar conquered Gaul in the first century after Christ. (www.bibracte.fr)
